Action for Seed Freedom

To coincide with the global Action for Seed Freedom fortnight we are posting regular articles on how we can do things on a local level in order to have a positive impact at a local, national and international level when it comes to seed saving and food freedom. In other words, how can we as individuals take action that will ensure our seeds remain non-genetically modified or highly hybridised and that no one company or corporation has an all encompassing monopoly with regard to agricultural practices.

Seed is the source of life and the first link in the food chain. Control over seed means control over our lives, our health, our food and our freedom.

Follow us over the next fortnight and beyond as we take a closer look at seeds and seed saving - and watch our plot at the Community Garden begin to evolve.
